LORAX ENVIRONMENTAL

Lisa Hopkinson

Lisa Hopkinson is an environmental and transport researcher with

over 30 years experience in Hong Kong and the UK in the charitable,

educational and private sectors. Lisa has conducted research and

published numerous reports as well as organised campaigns,

projects and events on a wide range of environmental and transport

issues.

Based in Derbyshire, Lisa has degrees in environmental chemistry

and environmental technology from the University of York and

Imperial College respectively. She has variously worked as an

environmental consultant, chief aide to a Hong Kong Legislative Councillor, for environmental charities including Friends of the Earth Hong Kong, CPRE, Sustrans and the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT), and as an environmental researcher for a Hong Kong pro-democracy party and the UK Higher Education sector. She co-founded Civic Exchange, https://civic-exchange.org/  an independent public policy thinktank in Hong Kong.

She established Lorax Environmental, a consultancy specialising in environmental and sustainability research and policy analysis, in 2012. She is also currently an Associate at Transport for Quality of Life https://www.transportforqualityoflife.com, a specialist consultancy working to create a sustainable, equitable zero-carbon transport system in the UK. In 2020 she became a Trustee of the Foundation for Integrated Transport https://integratedtransport.co.uk/  a grant-making Trust promoting radical change for sustainable transport. She has a quarterly column in Smart Transport Journal.
