FoE Scotland: Investing in Scottish Public Transport to Meet Carbon Targets (forthcoming). Research to estimate the increase in public transport passenger distance and trips likely to be needed by 2030 to help meet Scotland's traffic reduction target, and high-level ballpark figures for the necessary investment and associated jobs.
Isle of Wight Council: outcome monitoring of sustainable travel programmes (unpublished). Joint project with The Smarter Choice Consultancy to evaluate the Council's sustainable travel programmes 2015/16-2019/20 under the themes of visitor experiences; access to employment, skills and training; and access to education and active communities.
South Essex Active Travel Programme (SEAT): outcome monitoring of sustainable travel programmes (unpublished). Researcher on project with The Smarter Choice Consultancy to evaluate the sustainable travel programmes lead by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, with Thurrock Council and Essex County Council, 2017/18-2020/21.
Possible.org: Research on Global Inequalities in Flying. Rapid evidence review of existing data on flight frequency patterns globally. Joint project with Dr Sally Cairns. 2021
Quakers in Britain: research on climate policy (unpublished). Research and policy advice project to inform and support Quakers in Britain's climate justice advocacy work on energy efficiency, food and farming, fossil fuel subsidies and trade. 2018

Civic Exchange Hong Kong: a Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan for Hong Kong. Research to guide the development of an effective plan for biodiversity conservation in Hong Kong. 2012.

Research to provide estimates of the increase in public transport in Wales and English regions not including London that will be necessary to meet climate targets and associated levels of investment, green jobs and social and economic benefits. Bicycle Association: evaluation of the economic benefits of the UK cycle industry. Research to investigate the economic benefits and jobs associated with the cycle industry and cycling, now and in the future. 2021-ongoing. The Economic Benefits of Local Cycling Investment: Greater London Case Study (2021); The UK cycle Industry: Current Economic and Employment Benefits and Its Decarbonisation-driven Growth Potential (forthcoming).
Department for Transport: evaluation of sustainable transport funding. Analysis and research as part of multidisciplinary team providing robust evaluation of various funding programmes. 2015-ongoing. These include the Transforming Cities Fund (ongoing); assessment of the cost-effectiveness of walking and cycling investment; evaluation of the Cycle City Ambition Programme; and a meta-analysis of the 12 Local Sustainable Transport Fund Large Projects.
Possible: a report on School Streets. Rapid evidence review and quantitative analysis to quantify the potential benefits if every suitable school had its own school street. Led by Transport for Quality of Life with support from the Active Travel Academy and Mums for Lungs. 2020-21. School Streets: Reducing Children's Exposure to Toxic Air Pollution and Road Danger.
Friends of the Earth: a series of nine briefings on carbon and transport. A series of reports on the key transport policies that are needed to cut carbon emissions in line with the Paris Agreement on climate change. Topics included electric vehicles, public transport, walking and cycling, planning, governance, road user charging, funding and total carbon budgets. 2018-2020. Additional activists' briefing prepared in 2020.
CPRE: a report on the impacts of road projects. Report which examined the impacts of road schemes on traffic, the environment (focusing in particular on landscape, biodiversity and carbon emissions), the economy, road safety and land use, using Highways England's evidence of short-term impacts from over 80 road schemes. 2017.
Lisa has also contributed to a number of Transport for Quality of Life radical two-pagers, including on cutting car mileage, shifting road building funding and curbing aviation.

Centre for Alternative Technology: Zero Carbon Britain Making It Happen. Lead author on a one-year research project and literature search to identify the barriers preventing us from realising a zero carbon future and the means by which we can overcome these barriers.
